Finally, the big day is over We are so glad that everything went according to plan. Big big thanks to every family members of ours that had helped heaps before and on the day itself. Love you all!

Thanks to our gang of friends who participated in the morning session and made it a fun and happy event for us!

And lastly, really appreciate everyone’s attendance to our dinner in midst of World Cup fever!

Oh my, our wedding is just 10 days away! *Excited* *Panic* *Stressed*

The pending stuff suddenly becomes more and more critical after each day pass. Luckily we started early!

What had happend:

Alor Star dinner: Done and checked on 12th June. Turned out good and became a learning step for KL reception

Dowry: The ceremony was completed on 11th June without hassle, done in less than 10 minutes

Photos: Wheeeeeeee! We finally have our album/photos/canvas print after the super long wait! Result? Satisfying Hit a few hiccups on bad after-sales service, but he made it up by giving us a bigger canvas print and smiling attitude. Anyway, thanks to his effort in making us look better in photos

Let’s see what is left:

Slideshow: Almost there, 80% I would say! Target to finish it by tomorrow or latest Sunday

Table arrangement: I have done mine, while Bini hasn’t start hers

We will have the Heng tai meet Ji mui session this Saturday night. Actually, just another excuse to gather, makan and minum We need to relax too what!

When you don’t realize it, our wedding is only one month and 8 days away! Talk about the excitement! The things-to-do certainly grows with lesser number of days.

Some updates

Wedding photos: We finally managed to view the album layout. Put in some comments but he has yet come back with update, and that was a week plus ago. Are we just too pushy?

Wedding car: Change of plan. Bier’s colleague is very helpful to borrow a Toyota Wish for us Cheers to him!

Invitation card: Bier has helped to printed all of those confirmed ones (thanks love!) and we have started distributing them. Don’t wanna wait till last minute!

Dowry: Will happen on 11th June, the day before Alor Setar wedding reception. Thanks to Bier’s parents for making it easier for me and bini

Dinner gown: Bier has confirmed her two dinner dress from Eyeshot, one for AS and one for KL.

Others: Oh! Our new bed frame arrived last weekend! It is nice though takes up a lot of space in our small room Thanks to Bier’s mum for getting it so cheap and fast! We also got other stuff like bedsheet set and new door mats. Gonna decorate our place nice nice hbh?

Lesser days, more work, gambatene!

Ah, time flies! It feels like it was only yesterday when we started to plan for this wedding, and standing at today, it is only 2 months plus away. Fortunately, we started early and many things have been settled/planned.

Wedding photos: Finally Kenneth has given us a tentative date to view them after being pressure. We gonna see his work on the 28th. I wonder how will they turn out!

Wedding car: Bier managed to borrow a Peugeot 407 from her colleague’s friend. Not a super brand new car, but will do

Invitation card: They were ready yesterday and only a couple of days after we finalised on the design. Talk about efficient!

Guest: We have started sending out invitation, through SMS, Facebook and verbal. Almost 50% of them have confirmed. Not bad

Makeup for family: Bier contacted one referred by her colleague and women from her side will go to her for makeup and hairdo.

Alor Setar wedding: Bier parents have finally confirmed the date which will be on the 12th June. Time to go up the north

Dowry: Most probably will happen on 8th June. Tight schedule with the wedding, but wedding is always tiring, isn’t it?

I think I have covered almost everything, right Bini?

A month had just passed after our photo shoot, and we still haven’t hear from Kenneth Oh well, already expected since it was Chinese New Year in between. We will give him another 2 weeks before we start bugging him ya, bini?

It is only 3 months and 18 days to go before our wedding day! So what we have been doing lately? Let see. We collected the voucher to print the invitation card, and will go to choose preferred design coming weekend. We found a nice house for rent at Kota Kemuning for bride’s family. It is just perfect for that day as 8 people can fit in, it is clean, and only about 15 minutes drive from our place Somemore, it is cheap! Rm260 for the whole house, furnished per night. Contact us if you are looking for such place too! Bini has also booked Tune hotel for another night after the dinner. It is cheaper and convenient for them to crash at that night.

Still have a few more things such as wedding car, sending dowry, attire for family and etc to be settled, but we are pretty much on track Counting down!

We finally had our pre-wedding photoshoot on 5th February. It was one of the important days that we look forward to very much, so both of us were very excited few days before. The plan was to drive up to Fraser Hill after lunch on the 4th, survey the place and have a good rest. Alas, Kenneth our photographer told us that he and the makeup artist could only make it by 5. It was kinda too late as we need to drive 2.5hours there and would be dark by then. Luckily, in the end, they managed to make it by 3:30pm. We reached there around 5:50pm which was just 10 minutes past the window for going up traffic! Argh! so we had to wait until 7pm for the next window. On the other hand, it was good as we got to know Kenneth and Angie, the makeup artist better. It only took 15 minutes to drive up and Kenneth requested for a spin around so that he could do some survey. After having dinner (not bad or was it because we were starving), we checked into the apartment resort. The unit is big with 3 rooms and cheap! Next time if you want a getaway friends gathering, try Pine’s resort. The place is basically deserted. In fact, whole Fraser Hill is always quiet

Bier had to wake up around 6am on the big day for Angie to do her makeup and hairdo. Though I could sleep till 7, I couldn’t really stand the excitement. So I woke up a while after to see what were they up to and prepared some breakfast for everyone. By the time we finished dressing up, it was over 8:30 and so the show began. Kenneth shot a few poses in the apartment itself. Who say we don’t have indoor shots After that, we proceeded to the small lake. Bier wish came true! We stayed quite a while there coz Kenneth had problem with his flashes. He is really a perfectionist so no one leave before he get his perfect shot Later, we moved to a deserted structure. Not Bier liking, but Kenneth said so The weather wasn’t sunny and it rained while we were at the golf course. Guess what, we got scolded for tre-passing but we just ignore the lady who kept asking for money. Who cares! How many get to take their pictures in a golf course

It was already over 3pm, and so we went back to check out and change. Bier mum has requested that she should wear the princess ‘crown’, so we did a couple more shots indoor before changing into casual. We did the casual shots at another deserted guesthouse structure and a small horse ranch. Too bad it was already closing time for horse ranch, else we could do more shots there. The person in charge was also kind enough to wait for us to wrap up. We then moved to Smokehouse, but the manager wasn’t that friendly. He didn’t even let us wander into the backyard area. So we only had a few outside the garden but one of them is seriously amazing. Both of us love it when we saw the preview on Kenneth camera!

By the time we finished that, it was almost 5:30pm. Could start feeling the tiredness after so many hours of posing and smiling. But Bier had another black gown, so we did the last few shots at the town center and a nice cafe nearby. We wrapped up the day around 6:30pm and had a few crazy shots with Kenneth and Angie in the end. We reached home around 10:30 after dinner with them and slept almost immediately right after shower.

The experience was indeed very fun despite tiring. Kenneth is a friendly chap and he didn’t mind the time though the quotation mentioned maximum of 6 hours. After today, we realized really how professional and creative he is. He could turn a simple location into something out of place. We managed to glimpse at a few preview on his camera and made us even more anxious to see the final photos! Angie is also very friendly, though she was quiet at first. Once you get her started, you will be amazed She was also very helpful with everyone, helping Kenneth with his stuff and touch up Bier and myself regularly. You certainly won’t feel bored with both of them around! Getting to know them certainly add on to the whole event

Rings: Looks like brand new
Dress: Taken measurement, and ready for collection this Monday~ but not free to take them this Mon as the shop is closed at 6pm and Tues not opened, guess will go and take from them on Wed morning to choose the accessories and veil~
Tuxedo shirt & cross bow tie: Kenny brought back from US after BFD purchased and sent him thru e-Bay.. though the shirt is a bit huge, but the collar and sleeves are just right for BFD. After he puts the coat on, he’s definately ready to be a groom!

Looking forward to our photo shooting session, nervous but excited at the same time ho bi ho~

Another thing on list has been removed We went for gown testing with my 2 sisters..

For the wedding gown, there were so many to choose from. We shortlisted 3, there’s one in particular that we like but the dress is full of lace and it’s not very suitable for shooting outdoor (I wan my wedding gown to be in the photo shoot). In the end, we choose the gown with a phoenix~~ green phoenix as it is very comfortable to walk around with..

For the evening gown, we were having a hard time with it.. in the end, we shortlisted 2.. both with some black colours on it Me & BFD preffered the halter neck, whereas my sis preffered the gold/black tube dress…

In the end, I chose a halter neck because we were thinking to have more variety in the dresses…

But at nite, after reviewing the pictures, me and BFD decided to change both the dresses to a halter neck wedding dress and tube evening dress

My mom has chosen those as well after reviewing the pictures that my sis took..

So, now everyone is happy with it..

After the gown testing session, my BFD went to James for a designer haircut.. turned out not bad at all.. although bier is having problem styling it.. hehehe.. James was kind enough and gave us at discounted price RM40!

4 more days to slim down because the tailor is taking my measurement on Fri! have to gambate~~

Bought more stuff today!

Bride
Bier got herself a nice pair of shoes for wedding. It wasn’t very fancy yet we both loved it at first sight. It is simple sweet and Bier looks good on it

Bridegroom
I bought a shirt for casual poses. Actually Bier picked it and I liked it too! Now we just have to decide how to pair things up when Bier goes for her gown testing. Oh, got myself a pair of leather shoes too. Cheap and good enough Bier also chose a belt for the big day, so I grabbed too since sales is on!

Can’t wait for gown testing day in coming Jan!

Been a month since we last updated the progress and we are very happy that more stuff have been confirmed to date

Pre-wedding photography venue
We went to check out Fraser Hill last weekend and think it is a nice venue, with greens and British building feel. So I guess we are 95% confirmed with it unless better venue pops up in between The only thing I dislike is the winding road up and down. If you are prone to motion-sickness, med is necessary!

Bridegroom
Bini bought a nice set of blazer and pant from Padini for me Actually she wanted to wait for free vouchers, but I insisted that we should settle this just in case they are gone We saw a couple of less expensive one, but Bini wanted this particular set so that her bridegroom looks most handsome

Actual day MUA
We confirmed Helen on the very day when Bini went for trial make up. She is professional at her work and you would wow if you see the before and after of Bini. I like it as well as the colors aren’t too exaggerating. FYI, I don’t like gals who do too much makeup Helen somehow forgot what she quoted us before, and we paid cheaper in the end

What’s next? We still haven’t keep fit, especially Bini haha And gown selection will be done in early Jan! Getting more excited as the days go by!
